Welcome to Dharika — a brand born from a simple, stubborn belief: everyday dressing deserves craft too. Not reserved for weddings. Not locked behind a price tag you have to think twice about. Just honest, thoughtfully-made ethnic wear you can actually live in.
I started Dharika out of Ambala with one idea I couldn't let go of: ethnic wear — the kind our mothers and grandmothers wore with quiet pride — deserves a place in a young woman's everyday wardrobe. Not as an occasion piece. As a default.
I didn't come from fashion. I came from watching beautiful Indian craft get pushed to two extremes — either priced into exclusivity, or stripped down into fast fashion with none of the soul left. There had to be a middle path.
Every Dharika piece is made with care, made to be worn again and again, and priced so it doesn't have to be a decision. Because the best pieces in your wardrobe shouldn't feel like luxuries — they should just feel like you.

The Name
What does Dharika mean?
Dharika carries the sense of something rooted — a name tied to the earth, to home, to where you come from. We named the brand that way deliberately. Not just for how it sounds, but for what we want every woman wearing it to feel: that she's dressed in something that belongs to her story, not something manufactured for a market.
One day we want the name to stand for something larger than clothing. For now, we're quietly building what that meaning will be.

There's a generation of Indian women who grew up between two worlds — equally at home in a kurti and in jeans, equally proud of their roots and their present. They've been underserved by both ends of the market: fast fashion that ignores craft, and boutique labels that make craft feel occasion-only.
Dharika exists for them. A brand that treats Indian textile heritage as something you live in daily — not a costume, not a uniform — just the most natural way to get dressed in the morning.
